Dr. Hari Shanker Joshi is a distinguished medical researcher, educator, and administrator with over 20 years of experience in community medicine, academic leadership and public health. As the Director of ICMR - RMRC Gorakhpur, he is committed to strengthening biomedical research, disease surveillance, and public health initiatives in the region. Previously, he had held several key positions including Dean Research & Registrar, and Dean Academics at AIIMS, Gorakhpur, Professor & Head, Department of CM&FM, AIIMS, Gorakhpur; Professor & Head, Department of Community Medicine at Govt. Medical College, Saharanpur etc. With over 125 national and international publications and expertise in epidemiology, maternal & child health, infectious disease control, and health policy, he leads the institute's mission to generate scientific evidence for improved healthcare solutions. Under his leadership, NIHR Gorakhpur continues to play a vital role in addressing regional and national health challenges through innovative research and interdisciplinary collaboration efforts.
